Final images for school magazine

I decided to make this photo black and white so it gives it more of a sophisticated look to it as it is a picture of the editor it is quite important and needs to look better than a 'normal' picture.

I decided to choose this photo because it was a better picture in general, Mollie looks happier and she is holding the book in a different way which makes her look more interested in it and this intrigues the reader. I edited the colour to make it slightly darker and increased the blue colour in it as it gave the picture a better look to it.

Editing the editors photo on photoshop.

I made this photo slightly smaller to crop out the empty table in the corner so that the picture looked fuller and more interesting. I also made the photo slightly darker to give it a certain mood.

I used this image to represent hearing and listening as it was to match up to the word 'Auditory'
This image was to represent looking and watching, it was to match the word 'Visual.
This image was to represent touching. It was to match the word 'Kinaesthetic'.

This image is of a China flag. I used it to represent the language opportunities.

This image is of a French flag. I used it to represent the language opportunities.

Photographs for school magazine

I wanted this photo to look like it was a happy environment and also  full of educational things such as the library that is behind her.
I also wanted her to be holding a book so that she looked involved in the school/college life.

This picture is for the editors letters. It is a simple picture of the editor and that is why it is on a plain background, however it is lockers so that is still involved with school life and as the whole magazine is about school/college the background relates to that.

This is a photo for the contents page. It is to go with the story line of reading buddies. That is why i chose to take this photo in the library with students reading as it is what a reading buddy would do. I got an over the shoulder shot to show them in action and so it doesn't look fake and it shows what they are actually doing.
